The municipality of Faggeto Lario on Lake Como is made up of four hamlets: Riva di Faggeto, Molina, Lemna, Palanzo. The discovery of some boulders-avelli testifies to the Roman presence in the area. Molina, Lemna and Palanzo were connected to each other already in medieval times by the Strada Regia, which led from Brunate to Bellagio, in a very suggestive route passing halfway between the high mountains and the clear waters of Lake Como. In the hamlet of Palanzo the remains of a medieval tower and an ancient press built in 1572 are still visible. The area of ​​Faggeto del Lario is an excellent starting point for excursions and suggestive walks in the Bolettone, Pizzo dell’Asino and Palanzone mountains.
