La Casetta nel Parco is an old stone house, with roofs of the typical stone slabs, called in local dialect “piota”.
Located within an acre of park, a few meters from the lake, next to Villa Rubini Redaelli. It is thought that in the past it was used as a deposit of the “Lucie”, the famous Lario boats so named in honor of the Manzoni character.
Today it is separated from the lake by the road, but originally it stood within a single very large and important property, which ran from the lake to the mountains behind it.
Purchased at the end of the 19th century by Engineer Giulio Rubini, the last owner of the Ferriera di Dongo founded in the sixteenth century and purchased by the Rubini family at the end of the 18th century, together with Villa Rubini Redaelli, it is connected to it by an underpass covered in white marble. designed by the architect Francesco Clerici.
The spacious attic, furnished with taste and elegance, has a huge living room with fireplace and windows on three sides, a large terrace overlooking the park and the mountains, three bedrooms, one double and two twin, with two bathrooms .

The villa can be rented independently or together with Villa Rubini Redaelli in case there is need of extra space for short stays or events such as weddings.
