Located in the fascinating Val di Vara, a few kilometers from the Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets in La Spezia.
The property consists of a villa of about 700 sqm, , surrounded by about 5 hectares of land.

The villa, built in the 1920s by the grandfather of the current owners, who returned to Brugnato from Argentina, is on three floors, for about 700 sqm, in addition to the attic, connected by an elegant marble staircase with wrought iron railing.

In an excellent state of conservation and maintenance. Fully furnished with period furnishings, it has all the characteristics of the noble residences of the time: grit tiles with elaborate designs. • On the ground floor we find the majestic entrance, dominated by the large marble staircase, as well as two large rooms and further service spaces.

Large kitchen with adjoining pantry, connected to the large outdoor patio with green pergola and barbecue area, an ideal place for dining outside. ‘open. On this level there are also a double bedroom, a room currently used as a study and a bathroom.

Near the villa there is also a water source, which still supplies water to the property, even though the public aqueduct has now reached the property.

There are no historical and environmental constraints on the property and it is also possible to use it as an accommodation or other activity.

Position

The property is easily accessible, along the A 12 motorway, Brugnato exit, a 15-minute drive from La Spezia.

Brugnato is within the Montemarcello Magra Natural Park and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

The medieval layout of the Brugnatese walled village is perfectly preserved and has a particular pincer-shaped urban structure. In the town, the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful in Liguria, and the Bishop’s Palace, inside which there is an ivory crucifix attributed to the workshop of Michelangelo, are of particular importance.

Brugnato was an important crossroads of “vertical” routes that connected the coast to the Apennines and a stop on a secondary branch of the Via Francigena.

The villa, for its unique characteristics was included in the FAI Spring Days 2022 program by the FAI delegation of La Spezia.
